Easy And Buttery Halloween Treats

Corn syrup, hydrogenated palm kernel oil, soy lecithin, soybean oil, monoglycerides, tbhq, annatto color, oh, and some peanuts and cocoa, too. While we know packaged Halloween candy is delicious, the ingredients list is unnecessarily long, especially when you can whip up Halloween treats without all the extras.

Here are a few of our favorite Halloween treats that you can quickly make and wrap in cellophane for easy Halloween handouts.

    • Rice Crispy Treats - Swap out those 3 tablespoons of ordinary butter with Epicurean Butter’s Maple Syrup Butter (or any of our sweet flavors). For even more flavor dimension, add 1/2 cup of peanut butter to the mix!
    • Caramel Apples - If you are like us and have TOO many apples falling from your tree, caramel apples are a great way to avoid waste. When making homemade caramel, most recipes call for 2 tablespoons unsalted butter and a pinch of table salt. With Epicurean Butter (which is salted), you can omit the pinch of salt and choose one of our sweet butter flavors instead. We like using Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Butter. It’s a fun twist!
    • Sugar Cookies - There’s an opportunity to use flavored butter in both the cookie batter and the frosting, and we know these recipes are usually very buttery, so it’s okay to swap out half of the called-for butter with an Epicurean Butter flavor. For this recipe, we recommend Epicurean Butter’s seasonal Cranberry Orange Butter!

Of course, the list of buttery treats doesn’t stop here - cake pops, fudge, brownies, and popcorn made with Epicurean Butter make great Halloween handouts, too. We wish you a culinary inspired and happy Halloween!
