We were inspired to make this recipe by a friend and now HIGHLY recommend it to you, even if you are cooking for kids with a pickier palate than most. The sweetness of the apples topped with the perfectly seasoned butter just cannot be beat.

  • Melt unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add pork chops to a warm pan and cook five minutes on each side.
  • Once cooked through, remove pork chops from the pan and let rest.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and add apples and pecans until apples are just tender. Be sure to keep the pan moving so the pecans don’t burn.
  • Plate the pork chops and drizzle with the apples and butter mixture.

You could swap out the unsalted butter in the first step for more Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Butter. Just be careful not to get it too hot or cook it for too long. With flavored butter’s seasonings already in the butter, it is more likely to burn. That’s why it’s also called a finishing butter!
